Resting on the black floor of the crate is a new, unfamiliar snack—a thin, light-colored chew from one of the thoughtful puppy packs Joke provided the previous Wednesday. Koa is clearly intrigued but delightfully uncertain about this strange new object.

He gingerly steps around the chew, lowering his soft snout to give it a thorough, cautious sniff before pulling back slightly. He paces around the back of his crate, which is comfortably set up with a plush green dinosaur and a colorful rope toy, his tail giving a low, tentative wag. He clumsily maneuvers his big puppy paws and turns back around to inspect the treat once more. At several points, he looks up toward the camera with wide, expressive eyes, seeking reassurance. Cynni speaks gently to him from behind the camera, their voice full of affection and encouragement, as Koa tries to figure out exactly what to do with his very first snack of this kind. The scene perfectly captures the innocent, endearing hesitation of a growing puppy experiencing the world one new thing at a time.
